Advancing the Science of Trauma Recovery

My clinical work is grounded in research, and I believe the best therapy combines scientific evidence with genuine human connection.

Throughout my career, I have contributed to federally funded research examining PTSD, trauma recovery, and evidence-based treatment. My work has explored how childhood and adulthood trauma influence PTSD, and the roles of attachment, guilt, shame, and moral emotions in recovery.

In addition to publishing and presenting research, I have served as a study therapist on national clinical trials evaluating Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Trauma-Informed Guilt Reduction (TrIGR), and Present-Centered Therapy (PCT). I currently serve as a treatment consultant for a federally funded PTSD clinical trial, providing consultation to therapists learning to deliver Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) with fidelity as part of the research study.
